The Green River killer is one of the more famous and known serial killers out there. He is not in my top 10 of favorites, but he was a very interesting man. At least I think he was an interesting man. He was the one where the FBI went to visit Ted Bundy in prison to get his thoughts on this killer. Yes, it was before they knew the name of the Green river killer. So, Ted Bundy, a serial killer himself, helped FBI with this case. I will go ahead and state it here that Gary Ridgway is still alive today. He is housed in the Washington State Penitentiary. Now, let me tell you a little bit about this man.
Gary Leon Ridgway was born February 18,1949 in Salt Lake City, UT. He was raised in a deprived neighborhood as a child. His mother wore heavy makeup and revealing outfits when he was a child. His father was a bus and truck driver. He father would often tell him about prostitutes and that he should stay away from them. Interesting enough, he father would openly condemn the many curbside sex workers in the area as a filthy degenerates. But he would solicit their services. Sometimes during these activities he would have young Gary with him waiting in the vehicle.
